Yes. Emface uses radiofrequency and electromagnetic energy, so it isn’t safe for patients with pacemakers, other electronic implants, or metal implants in the treatment area. You’ll also need to wait if you’re pregnant, have an active skin infection, or are still healing from a recent facial procedure. During your skin assessment, Bethany will review your health history before treatment to confirm Emface is right for you.
Emface applicators are placed on your forehead, eyes, cheeks, submental muscles (chin), and the masseter muscle (for TMJ), but ultimately, you’ll see results over your entire face!

Emface treatments take approximately 20 minutes per area, and 2 areas can be treated at the same time. For example, the cheeks and submentum area can be treated in about 20 minutes.
Both treatments use the same Emface technology, but they have different goals. Traditional Emface targets the muscles in your forehead, cheeks, and chin to lift and firm your features. Emface for TMJ focuses on your jaw instead, calming the overworked chewing muscles behind clenching, jaw tension, and headaches. Each area takes about 20 minutes, and your provider can treat 2 areas in one visit.
